Vanity Robinson is a sophomore at Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York but she hails from Chicago. She competed in the city wide slam Louder Than A Bomb on the YOUMedia slam team where they made it to the semi-finals. She has had the opportunity to perform in the What’s Going on… Now showcase in honor of Marvin Gaye’s theme album as well as in Marc Bamuthi Joseph’s red, black, and GREEN: a blues SHare OUt youth show in Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Arts Theater. She is the president and founder of her school’s Poetry and Spoken Word Team.
